Conveniently located between Atlanta, Athens, Charlotte, Columbia, Simpsonville, and Knoxville, Clemson is well positioned for easy and frequent blending among the churches in the Southeast. After decades of prayer for this campus, a family has recently moved close to the university and has begun meeting with students in their home. There is now a recognized student club on campus (www.clemsonbelievers.org). We look to the Lord for more students and families to move here to strengthen what the Lord wants to do at Clemson.
The City of Clemson
Clemson is home to Clemson University, a campus of 23,500 students that sits on 1,400 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, along the shores of Hartwell Lake and surrounded by its own forest. Clemson enjoys the seasons and scenery of a typical lake/mountain community without sacrificing the economic benefits found in a thriving metropolitan city.
Greenville, SC is located only 40 miles from Clemson and is one of America’s fastest growing cities. Because of its strong economy, Greenville did not experience much downturn during the 2008 financial crisis. Jobs remain plentiful and housing prices are firm. In fact, many of the locals in Clemson commute into Greenville. For more information see City-Data Profile and Official City Website.
